ESG Reporting Tool – ESG LAB Project

The ESG Reporting Tool is a framework designed to evaluate the sustainability and ethical impact of companies and investments. It uses Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria that investors, asset managers, and other stakeholders rely on to assess corporate sustainability and ethical performance.

Companies that score well on ESG factors are often seen as more sustainable, responsible, and better equipped to manage long-term risks. In recent years, ESG ratings have gained significant attention as investors increasingly seek to align their investments with ethical and social values, supporting sustainable development in line with global goals.

Why ESG Matters

Disclosing ESG ratings can have a positive impact on a company’s future financing opportunities. Studies show that a strong ESG rating attracts greater investor interest. However, in Greece, many companies face challenges in understanding, evaluating, and reporting ESG performance.

Purpose of the Self-Assessment Tool

This self-assessment tool aims to help bridge this gap by:

  • Highlighting the importance of sustainable business practices
  • Educating business owners about a model based on three core pillars:
    • Environmental protection
    • Social well-being
    • Sound governance

Important Note

This tool does not replace ESG ratings from international rating agencies. It is primarily an educational resource designed to guide companies toward a sustainable future and improve their financing prospects.
